We need vision builders to take over the career spaces in the country.
A visionizer provides you with a “radar” or an evolutionary map or evolutionary narrative for yourself. This projects what will happen to whom and when, and also shows the “life-composition” of the career seeker at various points in time of the career path. Through this, one is able to self-assess – am I doing fine, this can also happen for me, and so on. An individual can also see what kind of career breaks are likely at any point of time, and where they may / may not have “get-off opportunities”.
These are life-maps. Life-maps are similar to what marketing experts use in consumer profiling.
For example, in marketing there is a model of an “empty nest” stage of life. This refers to the stage in life of a consumer - when the children have grown up and gone away. Then it becomes an “empty nest” home.
Prior to that is when there is a “maximum responsibility” stage - where education is going on, children are growing up, they are high spending teenagers, and where the career is also beginning to plateau. This is a very high stress period for people.
After this stage in life, they get released in the empty nest period. Prior to even this stage is the stage when the career is taking off, the children are young, there is a lot of energy at that time... there is desire for enjoyment there is also a lot of focus on career. These are very important life models that are used in consumer mapping.
Similarly, these visionizers could also represent life maps or life models. They show you models of how your life actually turns out.
Life maps are valuable to a student in two ways – one is that these life models help one appreciate that things change. It may still happen to you, but it helps if you expect it and can plan for it, acclimatize for it, deal with it in much better ways.
